In Greek mythology Taurus is linked to the story of Europa. Europa became the object of Zeus affections and appeard to her as white bull at the Phoenician waterside. He carried her across the sea to Crete. Europa bore him 3 sons, Minos, Rhadamanthus & Sarpedon. 

Zeus placed the image of the bull in the heavens. Hyades & Pleiades belong to the constellation of Taurus
